CNENet is an established, volunteer-run national network for clinical nurse educators. Our newsletter reaches over 3000 members and our social media channels connect with even more wonderful educators.
We are proud of the professional and geographic diversity within our membership. Our members represent every part of the nursing register, including adult, mental health, learning disabilities, children’s nursing and nursing associates. They work across all sectors - NHS, private and third sector - and span the entire British Isles with representation from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
CNENet was founded in 2014 by Liz Allibone and Dr. Bill Whitehead. Their vision and leadership established a much-needed voice for clinical nurse educators across the UK. Today, the network is led and administered by a dedicated volunteer steering committee. You can find out more about the committee below.
As a volunteer-driven network, we are always keen to welcome new ideas, support for our working groups, and enthusiastic committee members who want to help shape the future of CNENet. If you would like to contribute at any level, we would love to hear from you.
The CNENet Committee provides leadership, oversight, and strategic guidance, ensuring activities support clinical nurse educators across the UK.
